Some 25 years ago I started to collate information and research Scotland's architectural iron founding industry. Few people were interested at that time but a few were. Over that time I have spoken to people around the world and at home about ironwork made or found in Scotland. A new book is pending which tracks the remarkable story but meantime here is a visual showing the development of the industry from the creation of Carron in 1759.
